Gamma Gas Delivers 99.99% Purity, 600 Nm³/h Nitrogen Generators for Pharmaceutical Industry Customer

Created on 05.21
Recently, Gamma Gas has delivered two high-purity nitrogen generation systems to an international pharmaceutical company. Each system has gas supply capacity of 99.99% purity and 600 Nm³/h flow rate, fully covering the client’s active pharmaceutical ingredient(API) production processes, thereby helping the client reduce costs and improve efficiency.

In pharmaceutical processes, high-purity nitrogen primarily serves as a protective agent. During API synthesis, it prevents oxidation reactions, ensuring the activity of the ingredients. API s are easy for oxidative degradation or hydrolysis under high temperatures or humidity, leading to the loss of efficacy in active components. High-purity nitrogen creates an inert atmosphere that effectively blocks contact between oxygen and raw materials, particularly suitable for the synthesis and crystallization processes of thermally sensitive drugs such as antibiotics and alkaloids.
Moreover, filling lines need to operate in sterile, oxygen-free environments to prevent microbial contamination and oxidative degradation. Nitrogen with 99.99% purity can displace air within filling containers, working alongside laminar flow purification systems to ensure that microbiological limits of high-risk products like injections and freeze-dried powder vials comply with national standards.

The 99.99% purity, 600 Nm³/h nitrogen generators from Gamma Gas have an eight-tower process design, utilizing Gamma Gas’s patented variable path stepwise equalization technology, significantly enhancing the adsorption efficiency of each adsorption tower. This allows for stable nitrogen output at 99.99% purity and 600 Nm³/h with reduced compressed air consumption. Compared to traditional nitrogen generators, these employing Gamma Gas’s patented equalization technology save over 20% on energy and costs for clients.
The eight-tower process also greatly reduces the nitrogen outlet flow and pressure fluctuations, meeting the stringent requirements of pharmaceutical processes for flow and pressure stability.
